CMC key components

  • CMC SAMs (Security Access Modules) – For secure transactions, CMC SAMs will be provided
  • Card Readers - Card Readers compliant with CMC specifications

  • The CMC card is designed with the security features to be accepted across multiple transit and para transit systems, which is compliant with any current or future AFC systems. This is achieved by a standardized smartcard which will be issued across the country.
  • CMC card is programmed by a single agency but issued by multiple agencies over time, it will be able to support a CMC e-Purse that can be used across the country but adhering to the local business / ticketing rules of the PTO or products
